So, when an old friend called and asked if I could shoot his wedding in Ponce, Puerto Rico, in the middle of January, I had a tough decision on my hands. Do I fly to Puerto Rico with my wife and spend a few days by the pool in 88 degree weather or stay at home in the frozen tundra that is Northeast Pennsylvania? It just took much longer to write that question than it did for me to know the answer.
I only met Francesco a few times over the years since he had been my best friend’s roommate in college. However, it only took once to realize he had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. I didn’t get to meet Lourdes until two days before the wedding when we got to Puerto Rico. I quickly knew that Fancesco had found someone who truly appreciated that heart … or maybe it was his bald head. Either way, I was honored to be a part of their day. I want to thank them both, especially Lourdes and her family for the hospitality while my wife and I were there.
Here’s some photos from the time between the ceremony and reception. I rode along in the limo as we hit multiple locations across Ponce. I’ll have more from the ceremony and reception soon.
