A walk in the park

There’s a reason I’m a photographer. I’m not all that nuts about being in front of the camera. It’s a pretty convenient excuse to avoid having my picture taken. In every photo, I get some weird head tilt thing going on. I don’t know where it comes from, but I recently looked back through a bunch of photos of me and sure enough in every one of them, there I am tilting my head like a dog who was just asked if he wants a treat.

My wife, who equally despises the camera, has a totally different move. She automatically recoils in a pose that makes her look like somebody just asked her to diagram a sentence. Lately though she’s taken a different approach, and to prove it I have a really nice gallery of one-finger salutes. I have to remember to post that sometime.

Anyway, I had the chance to photograph my business partner Bob and his beautiful wife Steph and their ridiculously cute daughter Eliza at Nay Aug Park. For anyone interested in photography, Nay Aug is a gem in the city that has a ton of places to grab some cool photos. The tree house is great, but there are plenty of places to find great stuff to shoot.

They were great to photograph. Bob clearly doesn’t have the same hang-ups I have. None of the photos were scripted. It was just them taking a stroll and enjoying some family together time. Hope you like the shots.
