Jessica and Mark first look | Scranton wedding photographers

There is something about the moment when a man sees his bride to be. Most everyone has seen the look. He’s standing at the altar of the church and she starts walking down the aisle.  The nervousness gets replaced with a small smile as she walks toward him. It’s one of the things we are always sure to shoot in a wedding. Just for a second as the bride is coming own the aisle, we turn and grab a shot of the groom. The  expression is always worth it. But what if the first time the groom sees the bride it’s just you and them and no one else? It has a name. It’s a first look and it’s a more private way for the couple to see each other before the ceremony. Yeah, it breaks tradition, but it’s also increasingly common. After being privileged enough to photograph one this past weekend, I’d be hard pressed not to recommend it to every couple. It was exceptionally intimate  for them – even with a couple of photographers capturing the moment. I absolutely love the photos that came out of it. We did these in black and white for this post just because we like the look, but in any format I think they’re really moving images.

A million thanks for Jessica and Mark for these moments and the many more you created. And thank you for letting us be a part of them.
