I think you gotta know somebody for this kind of access. Fortunately, we’re kinda famous (or maybe the bride’s brother just called in a big favor) so it was no trouble for us to get a little time in The Scranton Estate at the University of Scranton. What a building this is! A sweeping staircase, dark wood, a little Tiffany stained glass in the ceiling. Just your average spot. Ha! what a place this was to shoot. There were so many beautiful appointments and little touches, it’s overwhelming. Really, what an opportunity for Dave and Rosemary, two terrific friends who invited us to shoot their wedding. After their ceremony, more on that in another post, (Every church should be like this one!) we headed over to the university to grab some portraits of the the bridal party. We were greeted with an invitation to do some work inside The Estate. It really is a magnificent place. It’s a good thing, too, because it started to rain – not enough to do any real damage but hard enough.
So we did a bulk of the portraits inside The Estate. It was really different than the stuff we typically do. How could it not be? You have to know when opportunity is knocking. We really love how they came out . Thanks Rosemary and Dave. You were terrific, so much fun to work with and had a beautiful wedding. Congrats all around.
