Ellen and Mark engagement session in Wilkes-Barre

“It’s just a little rain, you’re not gonna melt.” Yeah, I can still hear my mom saying it and I find myself saying it to my daughter. As photographers, we have to be prepared for whatever the weather is that day. Sunny skies can present as many problems as rainy days. Cloudy days make for nice even light and spectacularly boring photos without the big puffy clouds to give a nice back drop. I used to worry about the weather constantly before we would head out to a job. There’s a 10 percent chance of rain; it’s too hot, it’s too cold; I think I saw a penguin in my yard; does anyone have the address of that friggin’ groundhog.

No more. Every couple, place and day is different and present all kinds of opportunities. Fortunately for Ellen and Mark, a terrific couple that was referred to us by a friend, they only had to endure a little rain. We decided to wait it out under, cover but if we needed to get the photos done we’re more than willing to trudge out into the elements to get some shots.  These photos come from Wilkes University and Millennium Park along the Susquehanna. Thanks to Ellen and Mark who were so patient and fun to work with. We had an unbelievable time working with you guys and can’t wait until your wedding. If the engagement session is any indication, it’s gonna be a good time. On to the photos!

Larry - Very nice images with some tremendous on-location photography. The River Commons really makes for a great setting, particularly in this lighting. Nice work.ReplyCancel
