Two Sticks at the bridal show

This past weekend was one of the most important of the year for Two Sticks Studios, and we didn’t take more than a dozen photos. It was the fall bridal expo at the Scranton Cultural Center. It’s a rare chance to put our work in front of a couple hundred brides. Now we get most of our work through the kind words of past clients who recommend us to friends, but wedding shows are an important part of marketing for us. We get to spend time with other wedding vendors, like caterers and florists and we get to meet brides to be – many of whom are getting their first chance to talk to the people who will do their photos, food, flowers and everything else you can think of. Needless to say, it can be a little overwhelming.

It also gives Bob and I a chance to showcase our newest products and some of our favorite prints – not to mention our building skills. (I’ll get to that in another post)

Maybe the biggest hit as far as we were concerned was the wall album.  People really seemed to go nuts for it. You can see it in the pictures below. It’s the piece below the Two Sticks logo. It’s a 30-by-40 print that we design and follows the timeline of the wedding day from the very beginning to the end of the reception. It’s a snapshot of the day and a great way to keep all your memories in one place and fresh in your mind. There was a real buzz about it. I seriously can’t remember how many people came up and asked about it and how many really nice things people had to say. It’s great anytime you can offer something that people really connect with. Anyway, here are a few shots from the show.
